Are Tiny Home communities viable?

Tiny Home communities are talked about a lot lately.  The question is, Are they a viable long term option for people who cant sustain a normal house?
Lets take a look at an example to see what it is doing.

In Detroit CASS started a tiny home community in 2018 as more of an charitable outreach than a business.   A majority of the materials and labor were donated and the money the residents pay is used to further the project and establish credit history for them.  After seven years the residents will own the property.
Detroit has a bunch of extremely cheap land around old factories.  It is a good location for cheap land, but is this economically sustainable?
A brief search didnt have any good updates three years later.  I was able to find the location from the videos street corner sign at the beginning.

https://goo.gl/maps/9anUkvYv6tjFJrsA6

If  you go to the Google Maps link and use street view then you can see progress from images captured in 2019. The CASS website has application information from Sep 2020.  The website sells odd items from $5 keychains to $45 recycled tire door mats they make from tires they recover form lots.  As can be seen from the street images, the progress is minimal.  Tiny houses should have reduced construction time yet the highest number they were even working toward is 25.  Also, in the images you can see fairly large solar arrays behind each row of houses. Solar has a high initial cost, but can save money in the long term this would be a good idea in this particular situation, but is there energy storage?  The solar aspect wasnt mentioned anywhere.

More and more tiny home communities are popping up around the country as the pandemic is increasing economic strain. Here are some notable communities(Notice I dont have a "good" label):

Tiny homes by Settled - Minnesota (Homeless)
Mobile Loaves and Fishes - Texas (Homeless)
Escalante Village - Colorado (Profit)
River Ridge Escape - Georgia (Profit $20k-40k)
Simply Home Community - Oregon (Profit)
Spur Freedom - Texas (Profit) **The first official from 2014, but only 61 lots sold as of 03/2021
Orlando Lake Front - Florida (Profit)
Salida - Colorado (Profit )  **To be the largest Tiny home community with 200 lots planned

Bad examples:
Tiny homes by Rhianna - Michigan (Homeless) **building tiny homes for almost $60k What is the point?
Tiny Homes in North Hollywood - California  (Homeless) **These are cheap plastic sheds not actual tiny homes.
Tiny Home Village by local government - New Mexico (Homeless) **I put this in bad because they started in 2016 have spent $3.3m and currently only have single digit occupancy and are opening the 2nd round of applications
Palm Canyon Mobile Club - California (Profit $700+ per month and rising) **Skeptical of this because it is just a mobile home park.
Canoe Bay Escape Villages - Wisconsin (Profit)  **Glorified cabins.  Most likely secondary homes.
Tiny Tranquility - (Profit)  **Another trailer park with actual trailers
Delta Bay - (Profit) **Not much more than an RV park
Tiny Estates - Pennsylvania (Profit $50k+)
The Sanctuary - Minnesota (Profit)  **Another glorified RV park
Home First - California Streetview from Dec/Feb 2020 but if you go away from the intersection you can see what it looked like before it was a "tiny home" area.
SquareOne Villages - Oregon It is a community/resident funded trailer park.  Fees range from $35-$300+ per month and the amount of properties are growing.

One thing I wasnt aware of is the perversion of the tiny house ideal from an actual tiny house to an RV and the inclusion or reinvention of RV and trailer parks.  We have a model that exists currently for both of those and they dont end well.  They become low rent options ran by slumlords.  Could you imagine willingly downsizing then realizing you are living in a glorified trailer park? It doesnt bode well for growth and it just convinces people to give up their house and later have to start over building equity in a new one.  People who downsize willing and have mobility wont stay in that situation.

From the looks of it the "explosion in interest" is just that curious people.  Of all if these lots available less than 1000 are occupied as a sole residence.  Most of the occupants are unable to get residence in a normal house.  The only way the movement can sustain is if it innovates.  The communal aspect with shared garden spaces is one thing that can offer something of value, but that is dependent on the other people in that community.  A more innovative approach would be a tiny home on a normal residential lot with the extra space turned into individual gardening areas for at least partial self sustainment this would provide a better use of the land and offer more green space even in an urban environment this model is currently nonexistent.  There is a separate movement of urban farming that does great things with small plots with normal sized houses. Imagine what these two ideas together could do.

I dont think you will see tiny homes popping up in a neighborhood near you anytime soon.  Local governments will be sure of that. Smaller house mean less value and less they can tax you for.  Who is going to pay for all these teachers to not work during the pandemic?  Did you get a refund for the time the kids werent in school these past two years? Ive heard of teachers not working and getting raises over that period. Ive seen empty buses driving around to maintain annual mileage.  The kids arent going to school!  Get ready for another property tax hike to pay for the news schools the teachers unions want.

How to search a room for hidden cameras and other devics

With online sources like Amazon and Ebay and a market flooded with cheap Chinese products.  The likelyhood that you will encounter a hidden camera or other device is high.  It might be meant for someone else or it could be used by someone at an AirBnB.  Are we just paranoid?  Here are a few examples:

Korean Motel secretly livestreamed 1.6k guests
Greek AirBnB
Carnival Cruise Room
Irish AirBnB
Planet Fitness tanning room
Starbucks bathroom
11% of AirBNB guests claim to have found a camera in the house they were staying at.

There are many more examples.  The problem exists if you travel, and the risk increases in AirBnB's.  But there are a few simple steps you can take to make sure some weirdo isnt spying on you.
The BBC did a video on it and a Kpop star was arrested for doing it.

1. Use the Fing app to scan the wifi network and see if any odd devices are connected.

2. Quickly look around the room(focus on the bathrooms and bedrooms) and look for anything out of place.
In a single room look for more than one smoke detector, usb wall plugins left in a plug, ect
You can also use a simple optical device to look for small camera lenses. The optical device flashes a red light and you look through a red lens to magnify the reflection of the small camera lens.
Check vents
Sprinklers not placed in line.  Sprinklers are on water pipes and should line up.
If there is an alarm clock in the room then unplug it and put it in a drawer. Most people will use their phones anyway.
2-way mirrors you can turn off the lights and press a flashlight(your phones light works) against it.  A normal window wont do anything, but a 2-way will allow you to see through to the void behind.  Another more simple(also makes you look less crazy) way is to press your fingernail against mirror. A normal mirror will have a gap(the thickness of the glass) between your nail and its reflection.  A 2-way mirror has the reflection material on the first layer and your thumbnail will be almost touching its reflection.

3. Use a thermal scanner.
You may have one of these for use on a house or just as a curiosity.  They are simple enough that they can connect to Android and iOS devices.  Thermal scanners work because small devices usually put off a significant amount of heat.  The scanner will let you easily see the temperature difference and find the device.

If you find a device and arent sure of what it is. Then use the internet to search the make and model of the device to see if it has recording capabilities if it is out in the open.

You never know what someone's motivation might be for surveilling an area. It could be purely defensive or completely depraved.  But using these simple steps and devices you can give yourself some piece of mind when you travel.

What is #fuck12

Social media has been a sounding board for terrorism.  Now domestic terrorist are using it to organize and create chaos.  One of the current hashtags that is going around is #fuck12 .  It has its roots in the Black Lives Matter or #blacklivesmatter movement and specifically tied to recent cop killings in New York.  The 12 is linked to a common 10 code referring to narco cops in Atlanta,GA.
It has grown into a general hatred of all cops.  A pair of Atlanta rappers called Migos have a song called "Fuck 12".  The song talks about how they sell drugs and "12" kicks in the front door as they run out the back.  There are numerous other rap references.  Rap further mainstreams the slang and sentiment in order to keep people ignorant of the puppet masters ultimate goal.  The killing of cops to create change and or intimidate law enforcement should be labeled as terrorism. It goes beyond racism and is a terror tactic in order to overthrow law and order.

We are literally moving toward a scifi movie futuristic view like the state of decay shown in RoboCop or Judge Dredd.  We are being prodded toward lawlessness in order to create a totalitarian state with wealth and power centralized at the top.  The goal isnt to overthrow the government, but to control the populace.
The recent rise of "Antifa" is not helping.  Antifa protestors are a more violent rebirth of the occupy protesters from the left.  While the occupy protesters still exist the Antifa is the younger more angry version.  The paramilitary wing of the Democrat Party is not a new phenomenon.

During Reconstruction after the Civil War the Democrat Party used a group called the Red Shirts to intimidate and terrorize blacks into voting for the Democrat Party all over the south.  Red Shirts had a extremely violent role in killing or beating many blacks during an election for governor of SC involving Wade Hampton, a former Confederate General and leader of the Red Shirts.  Remember the Republican Party was the party against slavery in the 1800's.  The Red Shirts were the public paramilitary wing of the Democrat Party involved in election fraud and intimidation while the KKK was the secret organization that intimidated blacks to vote Democrat.  The 2020 election voter fraud is a mainstay of the Democrat Party.  They have been doing it for 200 years.  It perplexes me how people can say there is very little voter fraud in US history.  The Democrat Party used violence from the KKK and the Red Shirts to gain control of election systems across the south then it used fraud to maintain control as long as it could.  It has been using the same system to control the votes in the large cities particularly on the east coast.  Pennsylvania being one of the highlighted locations during the 2020 election.  The signs of corruption were there BEFORE the 2020 election.  Here are just a few not counting anything that might turn up as a result of the 2020 election:
Philadelphia official plead guilty
South Philadelphia former Congressman charged
Election Board worker arrested

#Fuck12 is just another wave of indoctrination for people to unite and fight the government.  Instead of for freedom it is for more governmental control.  The people doing the fighting and being organized are pawns of the people funding it.  Money is being traced back to people like Soros and support from groups like Hamas.  There is currently a lawsuit against Google, Twitter and Facebook being brought about using social media to track the ties between these groups.
The sad part is the pawns do not even know they are being used.  They choose to remain ignorant with their judgement clouded by misdirected hate.  Strong emotions promote action better than sound logic.  I am sure there is a quote similar to that concept said by someone smart.
