What does the term "bungied" mean?

BUNGIED

verb

1. to lose connection to Bungie servers while playing Destiny.
I am sick and tired of getting bungied during strikes and losing rewards! 

Many of the Destiny error codes equal the same outcome being "bungied". From centipede, beaver, cow, platypus,pear, urchin cat, lime, buck, lion and so on.  The problem worsens with each update and slowly becomes more stable over time. Most have nothing to do with user errors.
