How to Opt-Out of Clan Wars in "Clash of Clans" by Supercell

Here is a quick guide to opt-out of clan wars in "Clash of Clans".

"Access your Player Profile page by tapping the “i” button next to the XP bar in your village view
Tap the “In/Out” button to select your Clan War preference.

Note that this preference indicator is more of a suggestion for your Clan Leader and Co-leaders. Whoever starts the Clan War is still ultimately responsible for choosing who joins the Clan War team. You can be sent to war even if your personal preference is set to “Out”."

How using Bing can make you money!

It is Free Money February!

Bing has an interesting way to attract searchers.  It is called Bing Rewards. Bing Rewards allow users to create an account and do 30 searches a day for 15 points.  About 525 points equals $5.  But you can earn quickly by doing your daily searches.  Bing also allows you special offers: Trivia Tuesday, double points weekends, 10 points for mobile searches and discounts once you hit Gold status(which isn't hard to do).

XcerptShow.com

I have been doing it for a while and the 30 searches takes under 5 min a day and I cash my points(475 Bing points with the Gold discount) in for 500 SwagBucks which givers you more bang for the buck($5 can be as low as 450 points).   Learn more about SwagBucks here.

This along with Google Opinions, SwagBucks and Mpoints allow you to make money(well over $30 per month) online at home to buy games, apps, music, or whatever else you can get with the gift cards.

Pro Tip:
#1 I use the image search and just click the links instead of typing out searches.  It seems to be the quickest way to get your 30 searches.  Side-note: Be reminded this is the internet and the suggestions can take you to some dark places quickly.  There are parental controls if you want to maintain your innocence.

#2 Make sure you use a full name. When creating your account or using your existing Hotmail or Live email account.  At one time, I had three accounts running from old emails. Two of the accounts were removed from Bing Rewards right before I was going to cash out because I didnt have two actual names in the name fields.

#3 Try earning some extra points on Trivia Tuesdays!

Use This Link to sign up and see how quickly you can make Silver status.  Leave a comment once you make Silver!

Why SwagBucks makes cents...and dollars!

It is Free Money February! Updated!

SwagBucks, what is it? I could tell you how it was founded a few years ago and has been growing like wild. But you have Google.  Forbes did a pretty decent article on it recently. What most people want to know is how can they easily make $25 in gift cards or more per month. Be sure to use this LINK provided for a free startup 150SB for being a XcerptShow.com reader. If you followed the *Bing Rewards article then you can use the SB code once you are ready to cash out.

This along with Google Opinions, Bing Rewards and Mpoints allow you to make money(well over $30 per month) online at home to buy games, apps, music, or whatever else you can get with the gift cards.

It is simple. If you spend time at the computer or in reach of WiFi, on a pc you can watch ads while you comment on XcerptShow.com articles and watch and comment on XcerptShow YouTube videos.  Typically, you would just have the Watch window open, but at peak times your screen could look like this:

You also have the option to install both of the SwagBucks apps.  SwagBucksTV and EntertaiNow  with SB earning limits.  Works great on WiFi if you have mobile data limits.

I cash my SB in for Amazon gift cards(there are quite a few retailers available) because I buy most things off Amazon. Also, you can order 5 $5 Amazon gift cards for only 450SB each which is a 50SB savings over other gift cards.  You can order other cards at the regular exchange rate of 500SB for $5.
**Update** SB has changed its redemption discount. Now you can get 12% off just about any $25 gift cards once per month to include the Visa Rewards card which is just like cash(Best Buy and Target as well). This is better than the 10% off 5 $5 Amazon only cards.

How can the Google Opinion Rewards app give me free money?

It is Free Money February!

Google Opinion Rewards can help you get free Google Play credit to spend on apps, movies and music. I know what you are thinking.  “It Isn't free money.” But the app doesnt cost, and you can make up to a dollar in a few seconds.  I use the money to buy apps, movies and music on Google Play.  So lets see what the app actually is.

Google explains the app best in their video.

So the next question is, does it work?  Yes, and like it says the surveys are quick and easy.  There are some gateway questions.  A gateway question won't pay any money, but it establishes your eligibility for future questions.  So creatively answering questions can gain you more money.
The surveys are all about the consumer who consumes.  And no one consumes more products than a late 30’s mother of three with one in diapers who does all the purchasing for the household that makes between $150k- $200k.

This along with SwagBucks, Bing Rewards and Mpoints allow you to make money(well over $30 per month) online at home to buy games, apps, music, or whatever else you can get with the gift cards.

Try it out and let us know what you intend to buy with your credit. And dont forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel and Facebook page below for more content!

How to easily protect your identity and stop junk mail in minutes for free!

Identity fraud is a big problem in the digital age.  The information ultra-connected age makes getting personal data extremely easy.  Here are a few steps to help protect some of that information. In only a few minutes you could stop a large portion of your junk mail and protect your identity from being stolen. It is a horrible feeling having your identity stolen.

Cell phone shared data:
Verizon has a pretty simple way to stop the sharing of your cellphone meta data with third parties. Also remember, the Verizon Smart Rewards program is a "carrot" to get you to agree to have your data shared.

Phone meta data is organized under CPNI(Customer Proprietary Network Information).  What that means is any and all data that Verizon can glean from your network usage(physical location, calls made, sites visited, level of usage, apps used, ect.) It sells to its partners in the form of business marketing reports so that in turn those companies can send ads to your phone to get you to buy things you may or may not be interested in.  So essentially, your phone plan is ad supported.  Typically, ad supported means free or a drastically reduced price.  I dont know anyone who would say that Verizons prices are reduced.  In the more recent years with the rise of smartphones, privacy has been a concern of consumers given the personal information a smartphone has access to.  So along comes Verizon Smart Rewards to entice you to give up your data.

PreQualified(aka unsolicited junk mail at your house) offers from companies that deal with credit(most subscription services) for 5 years:

Junk Mail: Find the phone number for the specific business and request that they take your name and address of their mailing list.  They will then have to stop sending you unsolicited mail and

Another way to see how readily available your info is to check whitepages.com.  If your info is available online here are a few more ways you can restrict some of the information that is passed around. By doing a quick Google search of your name you will most likely see whitepages come up.

Whitepages mobile app. This site restricts information collection from various apps on your smartphone.

Remove whitepages info. This gives you a step-by-step process on how to limit visible information on the internet that can be found just by searching your name.

Browser info collection.  This site checks to see if your browser is collecting information on you.

Online advertising collection. This site limits how ad agencies can find your information. A quick and easy way to stop hundreds of agencies from collecting your information.

Online behavior ads. This site limits how ad agencies can find your information. A quick and easy way to stop hundreds of agencies from collecting your information.

Ever wonder how to stop receiving those ValPak mailers?
