Pictureman and Mr 2500 Present: Future at Club Maze with DJ EMoney

Pictureman and Mr 2500 Present: Future at Club Maze with DJ EMoney

"Same Damn Time" by Future(Diddy, Ludacris)

Club Maze put on another aMAZEing show tonight. It was a cool night outside, but it heated up real quick with all the hot Hip Hop talent that was packed on to the stage at Club Maze.  Spartanburg turned up and Club Maze Pictureman and Mr 2500 were sure to bring the noise.  Tmelle, Misha Milan, Pharoah, Nephew and Scrip Brown all made appearances on stage.  It was an action packed night!

Local set Scrip Brown and Nephew did a couple songs to warm up the crowd.  They were Flexin, Flexin, Flexin. http://www.facebook.com/scripb

Misha Milan took the stage with Pharoah, and they had a great performance.  Misha has a style similar to Lil Kim and Nikki Minaj.  They had great chemistry on stage.  Misha was gracious enough to Intro the XcerptShow before the performance. That video will be in the next post.

Future tore up the club with hits like "Magic" "Tony Montana" and "Same Damn Time"  Freebandz restricted stage access so some camera angles were poor and littered with cellphones attempting to snap a quick pic of the one who is on Pluto and Mars at the same D time.

He apparently has Moby as a photographer

After the show DJ Emoney kept people dancing, and that is when the party really got started.  The ladies were going crazy shaking their booties like there was no tomorrow. There will be plenty of booty shaking in the video.  He was playing old school hits that had the crowd cheering.  Mr 2500 kept them hyped up and dancing!

Video will be up soon.  Checkout www.facebook.com/xcerptshow like the page(to receive updates) and tag yourself.

Spartanburg Gay Parade: Aftermath

AFTERMATH

I posted my video in the facebook event page. After some negative remarks it was deleted.  I posted it again  and once again it was deleted.  The only person that is spoken negatively of is scary crosssdresser by way of subsequent jokes which are rather tame.  I dont understand where all the anger is coming from.  It scared a small child.  How is that not funny?
Here is a screen shot of some of the negative comments I got from the Facebook page:
From the facebook event page
I like how people claim that the people privacy might have been violated or that this was some sort of hidden camera when I am holding a mic and moving it around.
The "hate crime" was an interesting touch.
And this is just hurtful "not a official news reporter" Well according to the federal government I am. ;)
I like how ignorant people all of a sudden are giving legal advice to people. lol

The reviews are in!
Cathy says, "This video is just STUPID!!!!!"
Robin says, "I'm walking away from this one"
Johanna, says "You make me sick." and "I can not believe how ignorant you are."
Well believe it Johanna...believe it! LOL

I made it in CH7 news:

Spartanburg, SC Gay March

Spartanburg, SC Gay March

I went to cover the Gay Pride march in Spartanburg on Saturday.  The march was about equality for all people.  As they marched they chanted "Equal means Everyone".  I walked around and did some brief interviews with people.  There were a few religious people protesting with signs and preaching.  He kept screaming "Sodomy" which was kind of funny.
I had the video posted in the Pride event Facebook page.  It received some rather negative comments in the first 30 seconds it was posted and was eventually taken down.  I find this kind of odd. Given the nature of the march and the reaction of the people at the march to the protesters, you wouldn't think they would be so negative.  Watch the video and you will see there isn't really much negative aside from the commentary on the cross-dresser that scared the a little kid,but that was more funny than negative.  It is mostly a journey of truth about stereotypes directly from the people involved.  They were given a voice and here is what they had to say.
Also, no one I talked to owned a hybrid.  They mostly owned GM vehicles, and the event was sponsored by a Mini Cooper dealer from Greenville.  Clemson had the largest representation out of Clemson and USC.

Video from the Middle East

I went to Saudi Arabia, and I brought you back this little gem of a video.  This is from deep in the Rub Al Kahli Desert not to far from the Yemen border chilling with the Bedouins while they herd some goats. After this they offered us goat...the whole goat on a giant platter surrounded by rice with no utensils.

The chubby one that starts out reminds me of an Ewok.

It is always rewarding when you discover a really good band for the first time...

Otep, Butcher Babies, One Eyed Doll, Arcanium, Spine Extraction show at Ground Zero

It was hot! It was an unusually hot day and a little piece of hell must have opened up to watch the show today. The show started kinda late because of the local bands arrived late, but so did I.  People came from all over GA, NC and the Upstate of SC. There was some kid with a teddy bear...Im not sure what that was all about. But I guess when you leave the show with a busted lip it is a good night!
I live tweeted (or is it twat?)the show as much as possible. Follow @xcerptshow for more live tweet reporting at all of our events.

Spinal Extrcation:
The first band Spinal Extraction only got to play a couple of songs, but they were really good.  They have a solid sign.  The singer has crazy range. The band plays exceptionally well. They will be playing the Tremont Music Hall Sep 1st(today).  We got a partial interview from them before they had to leave. The video will be up sometime soon.

They really like fivefingers shoes, and they would love to be sponsored. I got video to prove it...coming soon.

Life Curse:

Arcanium:
Arcanium took the stage, and they set the tone that was unmatched.  They pumped the crowd up and melted their faces off!  They had people on their feet and jumping up in the air.  The vibe they created was electrifying.  The level of energy that they brought to the show was immense.  They have a sound that is very well balanced and polished. I could see them blowing up easily. They are one of those bands that sounds wicked in the studio and makes you want to go see them live.  You just have to see them.
Like their page! http://www.facebook.com/arcaniumband
I really hope a major label picks them up.  Dont settle for a small label!
They also won the XcerptShow's "Best Band T-shirt" "Best Stage Presence"  and "Coolest Band Logo" of the show awards.

Check out their latest official video below::
(It is at 2300 views come: on XS viewers lets send it to +3000!)

One Eyed Doll:
I dont even know what was going on with this group.  It was like a scene out of Little Big Planet and A Nightmare Before Christmas if you are into that kind of thing you would like this band.  She talked all sweet and would then let out this scream from that inner demon possessing her that would make your butt hole pucker.  She wore a wedding veil, pope hat, viking hat and cop hat at various times during the show.  She got the crowd to sing along and chant, "Hail Satan" at one point.  Check the tweets...

For their music check out  http://music.oneeyeddoll.com/album/dirty

Butcher Babies:
They call their genre Slut Metal.  I call it two smoking hotties(CARLA HARVEY and HEIDI SHEPHERD) jumping around the stage screaming and head banging their brains out! It was pretty intense.  The, what appears to be, signature X's taped over there nipples was present and added an elegant touch.  I think they should take that further and use some zebra or other print tape to spice things up a bit.  They were talking with fans and the occasional creeper after the show.  They were very accommodating and gracious to the fans.  We even witnessed them signing an actual ax.  How many band members, much less super hotties, do you know will walk out to some guys car to sign and ax?
Guy: "Will you come out to my car and sign something for me?"
*opens trunk and pulls out an AX!*
Guy: "Who's first?"
That was pretty METAL of them.  \m/
The drummer did ask if he could smash the guys windshield with it. No lie!

Otep:
Otep was the headliner.  But I was kind of disappointed by the sound.  When she started off, with TRIC I believe. I couldnt really hear her except for when she screamed.  The major part of her music is how fast she can spit those lyrics and hit you with that scream. The band was killing it. That doesnt take away from Oteps recorded music. Just for some reason you couldnt really hear her.  Disappointed I snapped a few shots, linked up with Jake and went to interview Arcanium. What were your thoughts?

Watch Otep punch my camera...twice.
